One Seven Locks LLC, a Florida limited liability company, doing business as StoneBrief ("StoneBrief," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors, prospective clients, and Client Firms. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit our website at stonebrief.com (the "Site") or engage with our Services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically through standard web technologies, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type, operating system, and device information
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: Producing, customizing, and delivering publications on behalf of Client Firms.
  • Communication: Responding to inquiries, delivering requested samples, and providing service-related updates.
  • Business operations: Managing client relationships, processing payments, and maintaining records.
  • Site improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to improve the Site's functionality and user experience.
  • Legal compliance: Meeting applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not use Client Firm mailing lists for any purpose other than coordinating publication delivery on behalf of the Client Firm that provided them. We do not market our own services to the individuals on Client Firm mailing lists.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We work with third-party service providers who assist in operating our business, including form processing (Formspree), print production and fulfillment vendors, email delivery services, and payment processors. These providers are given access only to the information necessary to perform their specific functions and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.

4. Client Firm Mailing Lists

When Client Firms provide mailing lists for publication delivery, we treat this data with heightened care:

  • Mailing list data is used exclusively for delivering publications on behalf of the Client Firm that provided it.
  • We do not combine mailing lists from different Client Firms.
  • We do not use mailing list data for our own marketing purposes.
  • We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose mailing list data to any third party, except to print and fulfillment vendors as necessary for delivery.
  • Upon termination of the service relationship, mailing list data will be retained for up to ninety (90) days to facilitate any reactivation or transition, after which it will be securely deleted unless otherwise agreed upon in writing or required by law. Written certification of deletion is available upon request.

5. Cookies & Tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies in limited circumstances. Specifically:

  • Formspree: Our sample request form is submitted through Formspree, Inc., which may set cookies during form interaction for spam protection and submission integrity. Formspree’s privacy practices are governed by its own policy.
  • Essential session storage: Standard browser storage required for Site functionality.

We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, and we do not serve targeted advertising. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain Site functionality, including form submission.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), encryption of data at rest where commercially practicable, role-based access controls, secure credential management, and confidentiality obligations for personnel and sub-processors with access to Client Firm data.

Acknowledgment of Client Firm Regulatory Obligations. We recognize that Client Firms may be subject to obligations under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the FTC Safeguards Rule, and similar laws and regulations governing the handling of customer financial information. We handle Client Firm data consistent with these safeguards and cooperate in good faith to address reasonable additional requirements as may be needed to support Client Firm compliance.

Security Incident Notification. In the event of a confirmed security incident that has resulted in, or is reasonably likely to result in, unauthorized access to or disclosure of Client Firm data containing personal information, we will notify the affected Client Firm without undue delay, and in any event within seventy-two (72) hours of confirmation.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods include:

  • Sample request data: Retained for up to twelve (12) months following the request, unless a service relationship is established.
  • Client Firm business records: Retained for the duration of the service relationship and generally seven (7) years thereafter, consistent with applicable tax and business recordkeeping requirements.
  • Mailing list data: Retained for up to ninety (90) days following service termination to facilitate reactivation or transition, then permanently deleted. Written certification of deletion is available upon request.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate information.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual obligations.
  • The right to opt out of marketing communications.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site and Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
